Beginning HTML Final Exam

The Final Exam

This exam is broken into three sections. The first sections contains a page that you should be able to duplicate. It includes things covered by all of the Beginning HTML Tutorials. There are some hints, values, and instructions on the page. Feel free to snag the images and copy and paste rendered text. Do not just copy and paste the source code. The whole idea is to test your knowledge of the code so you can either review or move forward.

The second stage is merely an addition to your first exam page. You'll copy the original two more times and add a simple navigation bar to link these three pages together. You can copy and paste your code to make the copies. The important part is the navigation bar and links.

Finally, you'll make another page linking to at least four of your favorite sites using both text and image links.

Take your time making these pages. It's important to review as you go to make sure you understand everything presented. If you get tired of the exam, quit and come back to it. There's no time limit.

Okay, lets get started. First, make this page. Take your time and review as necessary.

Next, make two copies of the original page and add the "nav bar" you see at the top of this page. Code this bar on all of your pages, top and bottom, and link to the other pages. It makes no difference what folders you put the pages in, but it's easier if you put them all in one "main" folder.

Finally, make a web page of your favorite sites and use both text and image links to link to these sites. You'll need to choose your own sites and get their URL.

You should also browse the site for a small image you can use for your image link. You may need to resize the image in an image editor to make it the right size. You don't want to use too big an image. A lot of writing web pages is surfing web pages. Click here to see an example of how you should lay out this page. Use at least four sites.
